Python

I am learning Python. I have some projects to help me do that.

They are simple text based message encryption/decryption programs that I have also had published in The MagPi online magazine. I intend to use these program as a base for learning class-based GUI programming with Python.

Raspberry Pi

Yes, of-course I have a Raspberry Pi. In fact, I have 8 of them, I think.

Lot of ideas, including a time-lapse webcam capture program in Python.

Usually I use my RasPi in a headless mode, and I have a good recipe for setting up a RasPi from scratch.

One notable exception would be my OpenElec based media centre running on a Raspberry Pi 2. Absolutely stunning functionality that has replaced an aging LinkSys device.

Lubuntu v16.04 LTS “Xenial”

An important job to migrate an email server running on XP… yes, I know, I should have done this already.

Also investigating file sharing with NFS and Samba.

A lot of testing and experimentation is being done using Virtualbox.

Tera Term

This is a long term project to create a universal network device backup script to simplify network infrastructure configuration backup by making it so easy and reliable that it just happens.

A lofty goal. It is already underway with a few wins.
