My Raspberry Pi B+ Project…

Cisco Support Server

Status: Started, and being developed!

Summary: A project to use a Raspberry Pi B+ as a support server in my Cisco network learning lab.

Details:

Using a Raspberry Pi Model B+ running the latest Raspbian OS to deliver the following services:

SysLog server. Using “rsyslog”. Running.

Radius server. Using “freeradius”. Running.

TACACS+ server. Using “tacacs+”. Running.

TFTP server.

SCP server.

… more servers as I need them.

The Steps So Far…

  1. Initial setup a simple setup and headless access recipe.
  2. Syslog. The “rsyslog” server is actually a base part of Raspbian. You just need to configure it.
  3. Radius. Install “freeradius” and configure it.
  4. TACACS+. Install “tacacs+” and configure it.
  5. TFTP. Currently favouring “tftpd-hpa”. Studying this.
  6. SCP. I believe this is also part of Raspbian. Researching…
